Love is…
We always hear the magical words ‘I love you…’
But no matter how casually or sweetly it was said, the question is ‘was it meant?’ Followed by.. ‘Will he still love me despite my imperfections? Will he forgive my shortcomings? And will he still love me when we both grow old and helpless?
Taking Time
The Perfect Treat
Work is getting really tough lately. I handle 3 review classes and 2 tutees for the Career Executive Officer Exam.
I think I need a break. I want to go some place away from work and do something quite different from my usual day- to- day activities. And I know I am not alone in this, there are several more like me.
So, why not avail of Branson vacation packages? That would be perfect! I would love to watch Branson shows like musical performances and variety shows especially those featuring the old songs. Magic and acrobatic shows plus pet shows would surely be a hit to my kids. Visits to the museums would be perfect to ease my tired mind and the kids would surely love to try the amazing rides. We would surely enjoy the fantastic activities that we can do together. We can also choose from various fabulous hotels and other accommodations. What more? They offer different packages to suit our budget. And it is worry free because they can do the reservation for us. That is what we call a truly grand and perfect vacation. The closest we could ever be to paradise..
For a hardworking person like me, I believe I deserve such wonderful treat..
Mr. Right.. EOUS?
Two years ago, a self-declared INTELLECTUAL came to our office telling us that there was an error in one of our reviewers. He demanded to talk with the owner of the company without considering that the owner may be busy, out of town, in a meeting or simply… not in that small branch. So, we called the Academic Head to pacify him and of course to listen to what he had to say..
The Acad Head patiently explained and justified all the issues that he raised, but he simply ignored her and insulted her for being a graduate from a public (but reputable) school here in Manila. After defending herself assertively but very politely, the Acad Head assured the man that ‘we will try to look into this.’
Two weeks ago, the man came back. He said he was checking if we did what he said we should do. When asked what he had been doing lately, he proudly answered, ‘looking for mistakes committed by others like you.’ He kept on talking. He even said that we, employed teachers, in our review center, were NO MATCH for him and that we were in every way INFERIOR to him.
I honestly don’t know what to think of the whole thing, actually I found it somehow amusing that there is such person, but one thing I know is true, it is not worth feeling BAD about..
Getting Wet
Well, the weather is getting really wet lately..
It rains almost everyday and my kids just can’t go out and play. It’s not that I don’t like the rain. They water the plants you know, lol! But, just like the heat of the summer, the rain and mud of the rainy season make your day really uncomfortable especially in going to work and in the case of my kids in going to school.
So, aside from the traditional umbrella, my kids also have raincoats except for my elder. And I think they really should have reliable rain boots for more protection as we never know what’s in mud puddles.

I Have Fallen In Love (with The Same Woman Three Times)
I may not be a Kris Aquino fan, but I pay due respect to her brother, our newly elected president Pres. Benigno Aquino III, much more to her parents, the late ex-Pres. Corazon Aquino and the late Sen. Benigno Aquino, Jr.
And since the whole nation is commemorating the death anniversary of our beloved hero, I posted a song, which was actually a poem written by the late senator for his beloved wife. The poem was turned into a beautiful song by the versatile singer/composer Mr. Jose Mari Chan.
I have fallen in love
With the same woman three times
In a day spanning nineteen years
Of tearful joys and joyful tears.
I loved her first when she was young
Enchanting and vibrant, eternally new
She was brilliant, fragrant and cool as the morning dew
I fell in love with her the second time
When first she bore her child and mine
She’s always by my side, the source of my strength
Helping to turn the tide…
I fell in love again with the same woman the third time
Looming from the battle her courage will never fade.
Amidst the hardships she has remained
Undaunted and unafraid
She is calm and composed. She is God’s lovely maid.
I find this poem/song very moving and I give credit to the poet who wrote it, the late hero himself and the woman for whom it was written. And wherever they are now, our country is grateful for what they did..
Is it really a BLESSING?
My co-teacher, Rob, is really excited. He just received his first, ever, credit card last week.
Ignoring our words of precaution, he still applied for a credit card telling us that he would use it wisely. Well, I am happy for him. And I hope what happened to us won’t happen to him, lol!
It’s not that I hate credit cards, in fact, I am somehow thankful that I have them in my wallet for emergency. But just like, what… thousands or maybe millions of people out there, I am too deep in debt that I secretly wish I didn’t have them.
SMART people say you can have credit cards without falling in too deep in debt, but SMARTER people say you don’t need it at all.
It is sad to realize that I am NEITHER…
