Great Shoe Ideas For Busy Moms

Busy moms need all the help they can get to accomplish everything they want to do during a given day’s time. When considering the daily wardrobe, shoes are something you want to be sure are comfortable and serve their purpose well. They should also being something you like and enjoy wearing. There are many types and styles of shoes to choose from, from comfortable clogs to dress shoes to running shoes.

Clogs are shoes that have no back to them. This makes for ease of sliding the shoes on and off through the course of the day at work or at home. Nowadays, clogs come in so many different styles such a lightweight beach clogs that are waterproof and washable, dressy clogs for church or dinner out, and even clogs that look like running shoes. Ideally, clogs are for everyday wear but not something you would choose to wear when exercising or participating in an activity where you have to move about a lot.

Dress shoes have a really wide variety to choose from. From cute ballet flats in all colors with bows or decorations across the top to high heels that are sexy and can be in any color you wish. In this day and age, shoes that fall under the label of dress shoes can be anything that you don’t consider everyday wear, or something that you put on special when you dress up for any reason at all.

Running shoes are a huge market nowadays. Many busy moms wear them all the time, since moms are often on their feet and on the go for much of the day. No matter the age of their children moms are busy people, and good quality running shoes can help keep them going.

Online College Degrees Can Help You Get Ahead

If you’re looking for a way to move forward with your life and accomplish your dreams, going to college—or going back to college—can put you on the right path. When you head back to school you’ll learn a lot and get the kind of education that you can use to move your life in the right direction. People who have a good education tend to make more money over the course of their life, and they also have a higher life satisfaction level overall. They can buy the things they want more often than people who didn’t get an education, and they’re better able to provide for their families.

Many people avoid going back to school because they don’t have the time and the ability to travel to class during set hours. That could be due to a disability, a lack of money, a need to care for children, or other factors. The good news for anyone in those types of situations is that online college degrees are available. These can be degrees that are acquired completely online, without ever setting foot in a classroom again. They come from accredited universities and are just as valuable as any degree that was earned the standard way.

Once you have that degree, you can go out into the world and get the job you’ve dreamed of. Some people also use their degrees to start their own businesses or freelance from their homes, which adds to the convenience that they enjoy. No matter what you decide to do with your degree, knowing that you can get it online and not have to worry about how you’ll get to school every day is very liberating. You could go to a school that’s not in your geographic area without ever leaving home.

"I Will Give You Rest.."

My cousin once posted on her Facebook Account ‘… sometimes it’s too tiring to live’ (misan nakakapagod mabuhay).

I raised my eyebrows on that. If you get tired of living, then what will you not get tired of? Everybody experiences a lot of stress, be it physically, financially, mentally and emotionally. We just don’t realize it because of our self centered nature but we are not alone in this. There are a lot of people out there who will be very willing to trade places with us which means we are more fortunate than most people.

“Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28

Healers and Fashion

Hospitals used to be one scary place. What with all the doctors wearing white doctor uniform, in addition to nurses in their white blouse and skirt with matching nurses’ cap. But that was before. Today, the medical personnel became attired in a more friendly manner. Gone were the days of intimidating doctors and scary nurses. We can see them now as friendly health workers that will make us feel well.
There has been a dramatic change from the traditional healthcare uniform to the now fashionable scrub suits which vary in color. Aside from being much more comfortable, scrub suits lend a sense of friendliness to the health worker who wears it, who in turn will pass this friendliness on to the patients and will surely help with their fast recovery.

It really is awesome to see nurses wearing medical scrub top which are very pleasing to the eyes. It takes away the horrible feeling of being sick replaced by a feeling of renewed hope that everything is going to be alright.

What A Child Needs..

Leila* was a typical 4 year-old little girl when I handled her during the summer of last year. She is a lively child, very talkative, very pretty and really polite. I like her and all of us teachers in the center like her.

Despite her talkative nature, she is smart and so learns easily. My only problem with Leila was that she gets too sleepy at the middle of the session. There was even one time that she practically fell asleep.

I talked to her mom and told her about it. I found out then that Leila wakes up at 5:30 to prepare for her ‘modeling session’, after that comes her ‘ballet lesson’. From ballet she will then go to our center for her ‘reading lesson’ with me. After that she will go to ‘swimming lesson’, then finally goes home. EVERY DAY.

I was speechless. I wanted so much to remind the mom that Leila is a child, she gets exhausted and that she needs to rest. But mom’s facial expression was hard, even for a teacher like myself, to penetrate, and the least I could do was to say “Oh, that’s why. Well, maybe she needs some rest..’ but mom didn’t seem to hear.

By the way, Leila eats her lunch in the car on her way to our center.. Poor child..

Our ALL TIME FAVORITE

We all LOVE ‘nilagang mais!’
This is our ALL TIME favorite snack. We like it more than chips and popcorn. I bring home ‘nilagang mais’ maybe two times a week.

It’s not just delicious, i think it’s also healthful..

Sad to say but we only have snack ‘together’ during my day-off. So, we take advantage of that day and do a lot of things like watching movie and taking a nap. When we wake up late in the afternoon, we have our snack which consists of some chips, pineapple juice or our favorite ‘nilagang mais.’

Happy MM!

Step Forward..

Have you ever lost a very important opportunity just because you were afraid to try?

I have.. and I do believe a lot of people out there have, too. We are afraid to try because we are afraid to fail, without realizing that it’s actually ‘OURSELVES’ we are afraid of. We are scared to find out that we are not as good as we believe ourselves to be, or maybe even… that we are not good at all..

Then, fear not.. Step forward and take the chance..

‘I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.’

Psalm 32:8

Whose Child Is This?

A young mother with her son came to our center to inquire about a program for her 3 year old boy. Our client service officer, Ms Me Ann, was very accomodatingly answering all of her questions when we noticed that the boy was trying to open the sliding door of the play school room, obviously enticed by the toys and other colorful materials inside.

Ms. Me Ann gently told the boy that he shouldn’t get in as there was an ongoing class. The boy looked at Ms. Me Ann murderously and snapped at her, “I’M GOING TO KICK YOU!’ (Sisipain kita dyan!)

We were shocked. Ms. Me Ann patiently told the boy that it was not a nice thing to say. The mother butted in and told Ms. Me Ann that her son is ‘a real nice boy’. She held her son’s arm and led him out of the center.

We just watched as the mother tried to get control of her son who was tyring to run away from her when he saw the coin-operated rides..

Thank you, Cen!

I would like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to a blogger friend, Cen of Cen’s World for featuring me in her blog. I am flattered and honored to be considered good in what I do.

Enjoying what you do is one thing, being appreciated for it is another.

Thank you so much, Cen! More power to you..

Looking Forward..

As I said in my previous post, my husband, though a simple guy, dreams big for us. Among his dreams is to buy a car. Not bad, right?

However, having a car is not simply a matter of convenience for the entire family. It comes with a responsibility, and that is to have it insured. For frugal people, finding the cheapest auto insurance is a must. Practically speaking, insurance doesn’t necessarily have to be costly, what is important here is the security of our loved ones.

On the other hand, I think ‘being cautious’ is still the best thing to bear in mind, then leave the rest to the LORD..
